The sun rose on April 25, 1965 announcing the birth of Albert Lorenza Grimsley. It was a glorious day for his parents, A.D. and Cora Lee Grimsley who are both now deceased. On July 9, 2025 at sunset, God called Albert to his heavenly home giving him his well deserved eternal rest.

Albert was born in Miami, Florida where he attended Rainbow Park Elementary, North Dade Junior High and graduated in the class of 1983 from Miami Northwestern High School. As a child, he attended New Mount Calvary Community Baptist Church where he came to know the Lord and accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. Before his demise, he joined Holy Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Miami Gardens, Florida under the pastoral care of Pastor Joseph Kelley.

He spent many years working at Landmark Learning Center before ending his career working for Miami Dade County School System. Albert was a very easy going, kind hearted person who loved the Lord. If you ever met him, you could not help but love him.

Although Albert never married or had any offsprings, he was the youngest of nine siblings of which two of them preceded him in death - James Matthew Grimsley and Carletha Magnolia Grimsley Jackson.

He leaves to mourn six siblings, Minnie Grimsley Buffington (Charles), Ellis Grimsley (Sarah), Whitfield Grimsley (Deirdre), Priscilla Grimsley Butler (Michael), Narine Grimsley Waller and Addie Bennett (Marvin). Also, he leaves to mourn nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and co-workers. Rest in peace, Baby Boy!
