Remembering Alex

God blessed Danny and Ella Moore with their second gift, Alexander (Alex) Terrell Moore, who was born May 10, 1995, at Doctor's Hospital in Coral Gables, Florida. He grew up in Miami, Florida and graduated from Barbara Goldman Senior High School. Alex had a overwhelming love for all types of sports throughout his childhood; he played football, baseball and basketball. As a young adult, Alex volunteered his time as a basketball coach and mentor to children ages 8-12. He encouraged and prepared the children, which allowed them to win 2 championships. With his big heart and gentle spirit, he always ensured that he had time to shower the children, he came in contact with lots of love. As a devoted, loving father to Kai and Kaiden, he made sure that they were his priority because they were the "apple of his eye", his proudest accomplishments.

Alex entered and graduated from the City of Miami Police Department's Police Academy in 2016 (PAC 117). He was officially sworn in on November 15th, 2016, but God had other plans for him and redirected his path. He then became a Video Retrieval Specialist with the City of Miami Police Department. He took pride in his work and was dedicated to getting the assignments correctly done every time. Alex was a man of many passions including, spending time with his two children, playing and coaching basketball and competing against others in video, dominoes, and card games.

On the morning of Tuesday, April 30, 2024, God called Alex home. As we celebrate the Life of Alexander Terrell Moore, we remember him as a loving father, son, grandson, brother, cousin, and friend, we remember his sweet, loving, caring and playful personality. He had a passionate love for his family and close friends. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, whenever and wherever it was needed.

Alex will be sorely missed by his mother, Ella Moore; father, Danny Moore; his brothers Daniel and Dylan Moore; fiancé Kimberley Jackson; daughter, Kai Ava Moore; son, Kaiden Alexander Moore; auntie Regina Moore-Tiller; four uncles, Jeffrey and Ronnie Moore, Erlin Sawyer, Joseph Tarver (Tammy); grandmother, Ella Mae Sawyer; Godparents, Helene St. Ange, Kenneth Pratt; and a host of cousins, other family members and friends.
