Antoinette Bonita Jones-Brooklen was born to the late Wallace Jones Sr. and Ellen Thompson-Jones on March 25, 1957. She was the youngest of three siblings.
Later in life, she met Larry D. Brooklen and on July 30, 1976, they got married. From this union, two children were born, Antonio G. Brooklen and Temetris S. Brooklen-Collier.
She was an employee of the Miami-Dade Public School system for 31 years until her retirement.
In search of a solid spiritual home, Antoinette and her husband joined True Worship Apostolic Faith Incorporated, under the leadership of Chief Apostle Kenneth Collier. Antoinette was a dedicated member of the church for many years. She served in multiple positions to include Sister, Missionary, Mother, Church Mother and Assistant General Mother. She served faithfully until God called her home on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her husband Larry D. Brooklen; parents, Wallace Jones Sr. and Ellen Thompson-Jones, and sister Loretta Rogers.
She leaves to cherish her memories, two children, Antonio Brooklen (Kenia) and daughter, Temetris S. Brooklen-Collier (Anthony); brother: Wallace Jones Jr. of Hollywood, Florida; sister-in-law: Ira Mae Griffin (Raymond); five grandchildren, Jazmine Brooklen, Zahria Brooklen, Hezron Collier, Victoria Brooklen, and Valentina Brooklen; Goddaughter, Christine Wimberly, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and church family.
