On October 30, 1988, a bouncing baby girl was born to Michael and Delphine McLeroy. The baby girl, whom they named Ashley Michelle McLeroy. She was the youngest of two children born to his union. Her father preceded her in death. As a child, her parents reared her in a Christian home and carried her to church where she heard and believed in the Christian gospel. She was baptized in 1993, taught the word, the worth of prayer, and this she did often in her own way.Ashley was a daddy's girl through and through. She was his little princess, and because of this she participated in numerous activities that led to her being a professional oratorical speaker, and the recipient of many awards. She spent countless hours with him, fishing, watching sports, sewing buddies and ride or die partners. Ashley was a rambunctious, adventurous young lady, full of wonder, always eager to explore and learn. She was forever asking WHY! She attended Miami Dade County Public Schools in Miami, FL. She was a sports fan and played basketball during her high school years. She was passionate about sewing, listening to rhythm and blues, and an enthusiastic art lover. Upon graduating, she enlisted in the US Army and served for three years. Prior to enlisting in the Army, she was blessed with an adorable son, Jaylen-Michael Alexander McLeroy. Ashley continued her educational journey upon completing her tour of duty. She enrolled in McKendree University in Illinois, where she earned a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Business Administration Management and was currently pursuing her master's degree. While in the military, she met and married Andrew Williams, through this union, they were blessed with a beautiful baby boy, Peyton Andrew Williams. They were stationed in Radcliff, Kentucky. Andrew being such an honorable man adopted Ashley's oldest son Jaylen-Michael Alexander McLeroy. They lived happy full lives for a period. However, as life would have it, the union dissolved. In 2019, she married her current husband, Terrance Johnson of Radcliff, Kentucky. Ashley loved creating and had an eye for fashion. She spent time designing and making bags, and assorted gifts for family and friends. She started her own fashion line and worked diligently to get her online store up and running. She was an active member of her community, supporting the different sport organizations and activities her sons participated in. Ashley found her niche with helping Veterans to work with the system and to gain knowledge of the procedures to follow to receive various benefits that were available to them. She used her investigative skills to track down information and file compensation and pension claims. She established several businesses and was currently opening a consultants' office known as Special OPS Compensation and Pension Claims Corp.A host of family and friends will deeply miss Ashley. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memories, husband Terrance Johnson; two sons Jaylen-Michael Alexander McLeroy and Peyton Andrew Williams; Mother Delphine McLeroy; three brothers Michael Alexander McLeroy Jr., Maurice Lewis, and Brandon Michael McLeroy; six aunts Flora Adams, Debra Hilton, Vanessa Washington, Emma Small, Sandra Gause and Nicole Williams; five uncles Perry Hilton, Michael Butts, Darrell Lofton, Ronnie Romain and Robert Romain; three nephews Xavius McLeroy, Maximus McLeroy, and Titan McLeroy; one niece Miqaela Carter and a host of other relatives and friends.
