Bennie L. Beasley was born on October 23, 1946, in Miami, Florida to Big Ben Beasley and Mattie Mae Beasley.  Raised in the city of Miami, Benny received his education through Miami-Dade County Public Schools, graduating from Miami Northwestern Senior High in the Class of 1965. Bennie continued his education by enrolling in Miami-Dade Community College and later Florida International University.Desiring to serve his country. Bennie enlisted into the United States Air Force in 1966. He quickly earned the title of Sergeant and courageously served from 1966 to 1969.Bennie was a long-time employee of Miami-Dade County Public Schools as a Draftsman and a Maintenance Supervisor.For fun, Bennie loved to go fishing and to listen to his extensive collection of music. He was good with his hands because he could fix ANYTHING and was able to grow grapes and peaches right here in Miami. His favorite food was chili, and he loved to Bar-be-que. He also enjoyed being an International Freemason.There are so many things Bennie was proud of; yet none was more important than being a father and grandfather. Bennie was blessed to be the father of four children, grandfather of seven, and great grandfather of two. These individuals were absolutely the joy of his heart.On October 2, 2024, at his home, Bennie L. Beasley departed this life. He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy, parents Big Ben Beasley and Mattie Mae Beasley; and siblings: Eurie Harden and Mary Emma.He is survived by his children, Anthony (Sheila), Jerrard (Lynn), and Anitra Trahan; grandchildren: Addis (Dario), Chanel, Malik, Timoria, Ciera, Armani, and Ahmad; great grandchildren: Aliyah and Damir; siblings: Elizabeth Vaughan, Mildred Singleton, Aaron Beasley, James Beasley, Mattie Severance, Mary Gilbert, and Deborah Beasley.
