In Loving Memory

Clarether Lundy was born to the late Peter and Clara Wilkerson. She was raised in a Christian home at an early age, and accepted Jesus Christ as a personal Savior. Clarita attended Saint Luke's CME Church and throughout the years she fellowshipped at several churches in Miami, Florida.

Clarether met the love of her life, Major, and they were joined in holy matrimony in the mid-1950s. The couple shared a wonderful life together and were blessed with four beautiful children.

In 1966, Major along with Clarether relocated the family to Miami, Florida, where she began working for Miami-Dade School Board. Years later, she was employed by Richard and Barbara Zeeman. She retired after many years being the caretaker for their two children, Scotty, and Carla Zoe Zeeman. The Zeeman family became very close to Clarether and she considered them as family.

Claretha loved spending most of her time with her children and grandchildren. She and her late husband loved to chauffeur their grandchildren around to school events and any place they wanted to go. Clarether was a king and caring woman who loved to help people in any way she could.

On March 1st, 2024, after a brief illness, Clarether Lundy made her transition. She was preceded in death by her husband, Major, son Major Jr., and grandsons Mario Wilson and Tavares Lundy.

She leaves behind precious memories to her daughters Nancy and Ernestine (Scottie), Amy (Eddie); 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, five great great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
