Dareika
Chery
Jul 24, 1988 — Mar 3, 2025
Dareika Chery, a beloved soul, passed away on March 3, 2025, to be with the Lord. Born Dareika Quantez Wooden on July 24, 1988, in Miami, Florida, she left behind a legacy of love, joy, and unwavering devotion.
Dareika's educational journey began at Olinda and Charles R. Drew Elementary, followed by Charles R. Drew Middle and Miami Northwestern Senior High School. Her most cherished moment came when she became a mother to LaDareius Dixon on November 28, 2005. Becoming a mother brought her immense purpose and joy.
In 2015, Dareika's heart found its perfect match in Steeve Chery. Their union not only started a beautiful marriage but also expanded her family as she became a loving bonus mother to Jamaal Hyppolte and Tanasia Chery as well as Steeve gaining a bonus son LaDareius. Together, Dareika and Steeve welcomed two more children, Sa'Niyiah and Simeon Chery, completing their family circle.
Dareika's dedication to motherhood was truly remarkable. She embodied unconditional love, patience, and nurturing, always putting her children's needs first. She created a home filled with warmth, trust, and endless support.
Dareika was a rockstar at North Miami Beach Rehabilitation Center, where she was the head of her department as the Activity Director. She loved her job and had a blast with her team. Everyone remembers her as the positive team player who made work fun and light.
Dareika was the life of the party! Her vibrant, and lively personality along with her smile and infectious laugh could brighten up any room. Her humor and ability to find joy in any situation made her a pleasure to be around. She had such a passion for acting, singing and dancing—that she started "Karaoke Wednesdays". Every Wednesday she faithfully shared videos of herself singing into the "Mary Wooden grandkids" group chat.
Her compassionate and loving nature made her a supportive sister, friend, and someone who brings positivity to those around her. She had a magical way of bringing people together, often leading impromptu sing-alongs and dance parties with friends and family. Her love for life and genuine joy in connecting with others left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her.
Dareika's legacy of love, joy, and dedication will continue to inspire everyone who knew her.
