Deacon Wayne Alexander Butler was born December 30, 1959, in Miami, Florida to the late Walter and Althea Butler.He began his educational journey at Allapattah Elementary, Elementary Middle and graduated from Miami Jackson Sr. High in 1978.Wayne was baptized at an early age at Morning Star Holy Temple. He later joined New Generation Missionary Baptist Church in 1997, where he truly enjoyed serving. He was a faithful Deacon and a member of the Male Choir.In 1982, Wayne met a beautiful young lady, Tangela Clark. The two started dating, fell in love and were united in holy matrimony on April 7, 1984. The couple was blessed to raise two wonderful children, a son Wayne Jr. and daughter Lazette Monique.Professionally, Wayne worked at Mount Sinai Hospital for 18 years. He was known as a "jack of all trades" in his professional and his personal life.On Monday, October 14, 2024, Deacon Wayne Alexander Butler was called from labor to reward. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his beloved wife, Tangela Butler, son Wayne Butler, Jr. and daughter Lazette Collier (Shawn); five grandsons, Shawn, Jr. (Roquonda), Antonio, Jamal, Maliek, and Mekhi Collier; two great grandchildren, Carter and Seven Collier; brother, James Lockhart; and Godbrother, Keith Jones; two loving Godmothers, Thelma Axon and Lovenia Thomas, and a host of many relatives and friends.
