A Simple Talk with Jesus on My Way to Glory

I walked alone one quiet night, beneath the starlit sky,
The world was hushed, the wind was still, and questions filled my mind.
My burdens heavy, heart unsure, I whispered low and true,
"Jesus, if You're walking near, may I have a word with You?"

No thunder rolled, no lightning flashed, no vision did I see,
But in the calm, a peace arose, and Love surrounded me.
I spoke of pain, of dreams long lost, of battles I had known,
Of all the times I felt afraid, and thought I walked alone.

He listened close, not once He spoke, yet I could feel Him there,
His silence loud with comfort sweet, His presence like a prayer.
And when my tears began to fall, He gently calmed my soul,
Reminding me He'd been beside me, even when I didn't know.

He said, "This road is not the end, but just the narrow way,
Each step you take, I walk beside, to guide you day by day.
And when you're weary, lean on Me, I'll carry you with grace,
For every cross you bear down here, I bore in your place."

A simple talk, a quiet night, yet glory lit my path,
No sermon preached, no songs were sung, no echoes of a past.
Just me and Jesus, heart to heart, beneath the moon above,
And all I needed in that walk… was His unchanging love.

Now onward still, my feet may ache, the road may twist and turn,
But I have had that sacred talk, and what my soul has learned:
That glory's not just far ahead, it meets me in His eyes—
A simple talk with Jesus turns the dust to paradise.
