Obituary

On the afternoon of Friday, June 6, 2025, at 4:15 p.m. at Memorial Hospital West, Reverend Earl Blackman, at the age of 78, said goodbye to this life and was called to be with the Lord. Rev. Earl Blackman's passing was a result of medical conditions stemming from pneumonia.

Born on February 11, 1947, to the late Jaime and Evelyn Blackman, he was the third eldest of fourteen siblings. Reverend Blackman exemplified a profound love for both the Lord and all the people of God, a legacy that he would have wished to be remembered above all.

Earl was born in Clio, Alabama, where he commenced his primary education. Following a family relocation to Miami, Florida, he continued his secondary education at Miami Northwestern Senior High School. From a young age, Earl forged lifelong friendships with Joseph Graham and Frank Austin within the Miami-Dade public school system. Throughout his formative years, he also attended Job Corps, where he trained as an Electrical Technician.

During his adolescence, Earl encountered his first wife, who later became the mother of his children. He dedicated himself to establishing a stable life for his family through a variety of trades, ultimately refining his expertise as a truck driver. Earl's later years were marked by shared experiences with his wife, Gloria, as well as with family and friends.

Earl's profound love for God and the Scriptures served as the foundation for his membership at

the First Baptist Church of Brownsville, where he was ordained as a Deacon. As he pursued spiritual growth and understanding, Earl responded to his divine calling and became an ordained Minister at Second Canaan Church. His commitment to learning and sharing the Word of God with others evolved into a remarkable talent as a Sunday school teacher, distinguished by his extensive knowledge and dedication to spiritual educatio
