Elizabeth Green was born on December 20, 1954, to Johnny Will Green and Verdell Brown in Ft. Gaines, Georgia. Elizabeth was one of six daughters of which Vanessa, Mary and Jacqueline preceded her in death. During early childhood, the family made the transition to South Florida where Elizabeth completed her primary and secondary education in the Miami-Dade County public school system.

Elizabeth was a woman of many talents. She has always had a servant's heart, so she worked professionally as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Washington Manor. She served the community she loved working at the local produce market part time. She even tended bar at the local watering hole, Jean's Bar. She did all this while raising her three children and helping to raise her many nieces and nephews.

In February 1998, Elizabeth married Randy Spires, who preceded her in death.

Elizabeth loved her family. Nothing was more important to her than them. Even in her illness, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her priority. She didn't have much, but what she did have she shared with any and every one because she knew that the true blessing was in blessing others.

Elizabeth leaves to celebrate her transition: her children, Vernon, Willie, and Verdell (Ray); her nieces and nephews, Louisanne, Jeremy, Arnessa (who preceded her in death), Clementa, Luvenia, Naomi, Charles and a special niece Elizabeth (Kamisha). She also leaves her sisters Dorothy and Diane (Charles). Elizabeth's legacy will continue to live on in her host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
