Eloise Life Journey

Eloise Miller Moore was born on October 26, 1941, in Ocilla, Georgia to the late Claudie Mac & Parrie Lee Miller. Eloise also has two older sisters Novella and Dorthy Lee that preceded her in death. Eloise was the baby girl known as peanut.

Eloise attended school in Ocilla GA, which was cut short as she followed her mother to Florida   helping with the caring of her ailing aunt. Eloise remained in Florida and then met the love of her life Samuel Moore.

Samuel and Eloise were united in marriage on November 29, 1959, and to this union five children were born. However, Elosie did not let the family's life stop her from pursuing her education. In 1978, Eloise attended Dorsey Skill Center and received her High School Diploma. In addition, she received two degrees in the areas of Health Care and Childhood Education.

In 1965, Eloise gained employment with Miami Heart Institute as she gave over 45 years of dedicated service. During this time, she received various promotions in recognition throughout her tenure as a unit secretary, heart monitor technician.

In the early 1980's Eloise Moore gave her life over to the Lord and became a faithful member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership and teachings of the late Rev. Johnny L. Cooper. Still in the same house of the lord her teachings were soon transitioned to the leadership of the late Pastor Joseph F. Williams. Pastor Williams lovingly gave her the title of "Mother Moore". A name that reflected her nurturing spirit, unwavering faith, and the love she shared with everyone around her.  Even in her timely departure from church she still was visited by the St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church family under the presiding leadership of Rev. DR. CA. Ivery.

Eloise was an average woman, with a big heart, who loved reading her bible, listening to gospel music and praising the Lord. When able, Eloise loved traveling each summer with her kids back to her hometown Ocilla, GA. This gave her joy returning to her roots and loving on her family. Eloise also loved picking corn, peas and canning tomatoes. She loved showing her kids how she was raised and being no stranger to the fields. Eloise was also known for her excellent cooking skills. Whenever there was a family reunion or repast, Eloise was there preparing a meal.

On February 24, 2025, the Lord called his faithful daughter home to rest, and her earthly journey came to an end. Although our hearts are burdened and tears are flowing, we are comforted in knowing that Eloise is in a place not constructed by the hands of man, as she is now in the hands of God.
