Somewhere in God's divine plan, it was His will that on Monday, June 1, 2026, Erik Carnell Veasy would be called home.

Erik was born in Miami, Florida, to the late Alexander Veasy, Jr., and to his loving mother, Constance L. Veasy.

At a young age, Erik accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He remained God-fearing, even as he matured into manhood. Erik loved to share the Word of God with anyone he met.

Erik was educated in the Miami-Dade County Public School system, graduating from Miami Jackson Senior High School, Class of 1988, where he was a proud member of the Jackson General "Drumline".

In his youth, Erik's favorite pastime was playing football and running track. As an adult, he continued his love for the sport of football and was a big fan of the University of Miami football team.

Erik's professional career was in welding, which he did passionately for 20 years. To know Erik was to love him. He was a people person and was well-known for his personality, humor, and big smile.
