Faustine's Life Journey
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding" Proverbs 3:6
Faustine's journey in life began on January 29, 1942, when she was born to the parentage of the late Fred Maloy and Lillie Mae Newton Brown in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
She later moved to Miami, Florida where her educational studies started in the Miami-Dade County School System. She started out at Dunbar Elementary and graduated from Booker T. Washington, Class of 1961.
As she became an adult, she birthed four children, Sam, Stephanie, Jessie, and Anthony. They were the joy of her life. Slater met and married Franklin Leroy Daniels and after numerous years of marriage, they divorced but remained best friends.
Her journey in the workforce was at Cedars of Lebanon (now University of Miami) Hospital. After 40-plus years of committed and devoted service, she retired. Faustine was a very meticulous dresser, and she made sure she was always on point. She worked hard and she enjoyed working. She made a lot of friends and associates through this journey.
Her religious journey began at Jordon Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She later moved her membership to Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church where she served on several ministries, but her love and strong dedication was serving as an Usher for over 40 years where she served faithfully. That bond became a family that she loved to the utmost. She moved her membership for health reasons, but she never was satisfied there and because of her health, she could not serve as she wanted to but continued to trust in God. She was a beautiful person to love to love and have as a friend.
In the late afternoon, on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 3:30 PM, God saw that it was time for her to come home and He sent His angel to bring her home.
