Frank Edward
Coney, Jr.
Aug 11, 1967 — Aug 21, 2025
Frank Edward Coney, Jr. was born August 11, 1967, to Frank Edward Coney, Sr., and Mildred Butts Coney. He was raised in a religious home with a nurturing, supportive, and strong spiritual influence.
Frank received his education through the Miami-Dade County Public Schools and was a proud graduate of Miami Carol City Senior High School.
As a young adult, Frank learned the trade of concrete laying from his father. He was highly respected and recognized among peers and the community for his craft. He was hard-working, dependable, fair, and had an impressive work ethic. Frank worked in the industry for 40 years before retiring.
A gifted musician, Frank, learned to play the drums by the sound of the beat, or as most would say, by ear. His first official drumming was at the 59th Street Pentecostal Church of God. There, he learned more than playing the drums; he gained a deeper appreciation and love for God.
Frank was blessed with three beautiful Queens through his marriage to Trellany. Their girls, Shantrell, Sharayl, and Antonia were the beat of his heart, and if he thought life couldn't be better, Frank was blessed with three grandchildren, who he absolutely adored.
Today, as we remember Frank, we remember his infectious laugh, his way of standing up for what he believed, and his die-hard devotion to the Miami Dolphins. There are many wonderful memories of our dear father, brother, and friend. These memories will linger in the hearts of those who loved him.
Frank Edward Coney, Jr., departed this life on August 21, 2025.
