Gwendolyn C Johnson 84, went home to be with the Lord January 29, 2025 at Jackson North Hospital, with her loved one's by her side.

Gwendolyn was born September 14, 1940 in Thomasville Ga to Levi & Ola Mae White with her four siblings Levi Jr, Maxine (surviving siblings) Gloria and Joann.

On May 10, 1956, Gwen married her life partner Leo Johnson, they had 7 beautiful kids together Leo (Patricia), Ralph (Patricia), Percy, James (Marie), Maderi (Willie), Debbie (Horace), and John (Latarsha). With a large number of Grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Gwendolyn was an active member of Peaceful Zion MBC for 25+ years, where she served as a Willing worker, Usher board, Choir #1 and the pastor aide board.

Gwendolyn graduated from Miami Northwestern High School. Gwendolyn worked as a Kindergarten teacher at Bethany Kindergarten in 1987, where she taught and loved on a host of students. Gwendolyn retired in November 2005.

Gwendolyn will be remembered for her beautiful, giving, and caring spirit. It was Gwendolyn's mission to make sure all her kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren knew God. Gwendolyn's home was always open to her family in need, and she made sure she fed anyone who was hungry. Gwendolyn was a strong and courageous black woman that prayed non stop for her family and friends.

Gwendolyn will always remain in our hearts and the countless  beautiful memories we all got to share with her will always live on with us.
