Helen
Robertson
Jun 6, 1951 — Apr 10, 2025
Mrs. Helen Robertson was born on June 6, 1951, in Miami, Florida as the eldest of nine children to the late Mr. Grady "Geech" and Mrs. Lillie Mae Brown.
Helen attended Lillie C. Evans Elementary, Dorsey Junior High, (currently known as D.A. Dorsey Technical College) and graduated from Miami Northwestern Senior High.
In 1966, by a simple run-in on the streets of Miami, Helen met the love of her life, Johnny Louis Robertson. The two married on November 23, 1969. Excited to start their new lives together, in this union four children were born. Helen multi-tasked as a superb wife, mother and professional.
Helen's professional career began at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, where she served as a Records Officer, while simultaneously serving the community as the neighborhood advocate for Avon. In 1992, she began working for Cordis by Johnson and Johnson as a Stint Operator and would go on to retire in 2004. After retirement, she enrolled in Miami Dade Community College, where she earned an Administrative Assistant Certification as well as a Child Care License.
Helen was known as a true Renaissance woman. She was a "Jill of all Trades". Throughout her life, she was well known for her many talents. She loved to serve and take care of others, rather it be family or friends. She dabbled in home interior design, party catering, and often served her highly requested famous potato salad at the Senior Activity Center on Senior Night.
Helen continued her devotion to God at First Deliverance Fellowship Church of Christ under the leadership of Dr. Emily Harris, where she served as Mother Robertson on the motherboard and sang in the choir.
Helen was a real-life angel here on earth until God called upon her to be one of His angels on Thursday, April 10, 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a loving caregiver to a host of other children of relatives and friends.
