Obituary

John Parks was born on July 11, 1931, in Columbus, Mississippi. As the cherished only son of two remarkable sisters, Laura Lee and Mary Jackson, he held a deep love and appreciation for them throughout his life. Also, Mr. Parks migrated to Miami, Florida where he met and was devotedly married to Claretha Parks (deceased) for more than 40 remarkable years.

He pursued his passion for architecture at Tuskegee Institute, where he earned a degree in Architectural Design. After graduation, he honorably served four years of active duty in the United States Navy, followed by two years in the reserves, demonstrating his commitment to his country.

A dedicated deacon at Northside Church of God, under the leadership of pastor Willie Floyd Sr, Pastor Lonnie Mashack, and Mr. Parks embodied the values of service and community. He devoted thirty-one years of his life to the United States Postal Service, where he made lasting contributions and connections.

John was not only passionate about his work but also about landscaping, finding joy in creating beautiful spaces in his yard. His love for sports was evident as he frequently attended Miami Dolphins and Miami Heat games.
