Joseph E. Crawford was born on October 26, 1972 to Madeline Pratt in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Almost immediately after birth, Joseph and his family moved to Key Largo, Florida where he spent most of his life. He attended Coral Shores high school in Tavernier, Florida.  Prior to his passing, he relocated to Dublin, Georgia.

Joe married Tanika Morgan-Crawford on May 21, 2006, and was married for 10 years. The couple remained close for many years after. Joseph was the proud father of three beautiful children Dion Byrd, Evander Crawford, and Burrell Crawford (deceased).

Professionally, Joseph was a skilled mechanic, who learned this trade at an early age.  He was a magician at repairing cars, tinting windows, installing sound systems in vehicles, etc.  Joe, as he was affectionately called, was also able to utilize his natural gifts to repair, build or install household items. He was self-made in his craft and without a formal education, he was able to thrive professionally. His intuitiveness and natural mechanical inclination made him able to fix almost anything.  He could troubleshoot any mechanical failure that left formally trained mechanics, repairmen and engineers perplexed. He loved the challenge of troubleshooting and repairing any machine.

Today, as we remember Joe, we remember how he loved to cook and eat, lol. He was a loving husband and father to his three children. He had a calm demeanor, and always made light of difficult situations by telling jokes and making people laugh.  His coworkers enjoyed working with Joe because he was so funny and someone they described as having a great attitude.  Joe made a positive impact on his work environment and anyone he encountered.  He uplifted, encouraged and supported his loved ones.

On February 4, 2025, Joseph E. Crawford departed this life.
