Obituary

Julio Cesar Campos, III was born in Plantation, Florida on May 11, 1995, to his loving parents, Chantel Simpkins and Julio Campos, Jr. Julio received his education through Miami-Dade County and Broward County Public Schools, attending Crestview Elementary and graduating from Flanagan High School in 2013.Professionally, Julio was a laborer for the International Longshoreman Association. Local 1416 and was also employed as a Bus Hostler at Miami-Dade Transit.

Julio had various nicknames. Most people knew him as Chad-Ocho, based on his mood swings, others called him Bum, Buz, Cho-lee, Juliokee and Boolz. He was well known and stayed to himself most of the time. But, if you needed him, Julio was always willing to extend a helping hand, often placing his problems aside to address yours. He was a quiet and caring man, who seemed to silently carry the weight of the world on his shoulders.Family members describe Julio as a motivator, an excellent chef, and the king of fishing, or at least he thought he was. These were just a few of his hobbies. He also loved to go skating and he was quite an athlete. In his adolescent years, he was multi-talented in golf, baseball, wrestling, football, and basketball, winning countless trophies and awards. Julio even modeled for the "8 & 9 Clothing Brand."

On January 17, 2024, Julio Cesar Campos, III, departed his life, at the age of 28. After facing a violent injury, he demonstrated the courage, tenacity, and strength to survive his last few days on earth. He waited to hear the voice, support, and prayers of his loved ones, especially those of his loving parents, Chantel, and Julio Jr. He spoke to them with a joyful teardrop, giving a symbol of unending love. He triumphed through more pain awaiting to hear from his precious children, Journey, Jinger and his son Lil Julio IV, whom he loved dearly until his last breath. He wanted reassurance that his children would be taken care of. After hearing from his sisters: "Bubbles" and Jolae, that gave him more encouragement to continue fighting and not to give up.  He held on until his body could no longer endure the pain. Then finally, he heard the voice of the Angels calling and Julio obeyed. We are saddened to lose him but will forever cherish the memories we made and the happiness he gave us. He was preceded in death by his grandfather: Charles Lewis, uncles: Anthony Polite, Jr., Idiamin Lewis, and Tanzania Lewis.

He leaves a legacy of love to his three precious and loving children: Journey Chantel Campos, Julio Campos, IV., and Jinger Ceana Campos; a nephew who was like a son, Dwight Williams, III.; his devoted parents: Chantel Simpkins and Julio Campos, Jr. (Raniyah), six siblings: Jenelle Campos, Julia Campos, Jolae Campos, Julian Campos, Justin Campos, Jaira Campos; grandparents: Johnnie Mae Polite, Anthony Polite, Sr., Sandra and Julio Campos; the mothers of his children: Williamneshia and Shaquandra;  Godparents: Marie Thomas and Illya Stafford; and a host cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
