Kenneth
Wimbley
Mar 12, 1989 — Jun 11, 2026
Miami
Ever met someone whose personality was larger than life? Someone who left an unforgettable mark on you the very first time you met him?
Kenneth Wimbley Jr. was that person.
He was born on March 12, 1989, to his parents, and grew up in a large, loving family with his siblings and additional siblings gained through his father's remarriage. Kenneth grew up just like many young men in the city of Miami; he was full of energy and a love for life. He enjoyed having a good time, playing sports (especially basketball), and going fishing whenever he could.
Kenneth was educated in the Miami‑Dade County Public School System and later completed his studies by earning his GED from Turner Tech High School. Determined and self‑motivated, Kenneth pursued his passion after high school and followed his dream of becoming a barber. And he didn't just become a barber; he became one of the best in Dade County.
Although Kenneth didn't have children of his own, he was an "uncle extraordinaire." His nieces and nephews adored him, and he loved each one of them the same. He was the favorite uncle, the one who showed up, the one who defended them, the one who made them feel seen and loved.
Spiritually, Kenneth was a Jehovah's Witness, a path he chose as a teenager because he wanted to understand himself, his faith, and his life's purpose better. His beliefs shaped him into the man he became.
Kenneth had a zest for life that was unmatched. He was well‑known and well‑loved by people from all walks of life. His journey allowed him to touch lives not only here at home but in places as far as Japan, China, New Mexico, and beyond. His personality was truly larger than life because if you ever met him, you never forgot him.
Today, as we remember Kenneth, we remember a gentle giant who loved life and lived it fully. He loved to dance, to meet new people, to be himself, and to be the life of the party. There are so many memories of our beloved Kenneth; far too many to name, but the laughter we shared and the moments we created will forever linger in the hearts of those who loved him.
