Celebration of Life

Lana Jean Stafford, bka Ms. Elaine Walker, aka Ms. Lady E. was born July 4, 1966, in Howell, New Jersey. She was the youngest daughter of the late Doris Stafford. At the age of 3, Lana was adopted by her aunt, the late Virginia Franklin, and Alfred White, who raised her as their own. The two of them taught her the Bible and introduced her to God.

Lana was a loving child, full of adventure. Her vivid imagination and will to be on her own led her to leave New Jersey at the tender age of 14 to explore the world. Lana's Journey ended in Miami, Florida, where she changed her age and name to Elaine Walker. She made new friends who later became her family. She was blessed with four kids and gained a bonus son with Darrell Garmon Sr. She wholeheartedly loved her kids and ensured she was active in their lives.

Lana loved spreading the word of God, just as her mother Virginia. Lana started a bible study class with her kids, nieces and nephews that grew to include kids from the neighborhood. She has always been respected and admired among the youth and her peers.

She included herself in everything her kids were interested in. When she noticed her kids enjoyed dancing, she taught them to dance and even started a drill team.

Lana always enjoyed dancing and music. She learned to DJ with the help of the late Amazing D with the Soul Survivor DJ's where she gained the moniker "Lady E".  She started off DJing club music and later realized she didn't like the message it was sending to kids. She then started DJing only radio-edited music, but she continued to feel convicted. She later joined Bo Da Lover and the Pure Funk DJs where she DJ'd nothing but Gospel music. No matter how hard times were, she never went back to DJing secular music. She stood her ground and did not bend or waive her standards for anyone. Her slogan was "Bringing The Gospel To A World"

Lana was a true friend who always encouraged everyone she came in contact with. In 2019, Lana was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, and the doctors gave her a maximum of 6 months to live. She strapped on the armor of God and prepared for the battle of her life. Through God, she claimed her healing in advance. She outlived the doctor's expectations and instead of 6 months, she lived another 6 years. Through it all, Lana never lost her faith, she was grateful for every moment, she never complained, and she continuously praised God. Although Lana never gave up, God was ready for her. She did what God called her to do on this earth , and He took her home.
