Mary Ann Williams was born on July 31, 1962, to the late Tim McDonald and Elouise McDonald. She was the eldest of five children, Tim McDonald Jr., Erica McDonald Jackson, Tanika McDonald Parrish and Michael McDonald.Her educational journey began at Norfolk and Sunland Park Elementary for 1st to 6th grade, Sunrise Middle for 7th-8th grade, Ft. Lauderdale Senior High the "Flying L's" for 9th to 12th, and Florida Medical and Dental College for two years earning her Dental Assistant Certification.  She took additional educational courses when she joined the team at Broward County Sheriff's Office (BSO).Once she completed college, Mary Ann worked as a dental assistant with two local dentists, Dr. Allen and Dr. Pettus, both of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She later changed her career path and joined BSO, as a Deputy, at the age of 40. Mary Ann was a loyal, hard-working, and dedicated employee until her passing.In 1988, Mary Ann married David Alexander Williams and to this union, her oldest son, Dexter Williams was born. Later in life, in 2016, Mary Ann married Moses Craig, and to this union her youngest son, Malcolm Craig was born.There are many beautiful memories of our beloved Mary Ann, to include her loving daily encouraging text messages to those she loved, and her love for playing cards, going to the pier and spending time with family. She also had a unique way of showing love to her family and friends. She was a big fan of music and often used their lyrics to express her feelings. Her favorite hymn was Amazing Grace.On October 9, 2024, at 10:10AM, surrounded by loved ones, Mary Ann Williams Craig was called home to eternal rest. She leaves behind cherished memories to her beloved mother, sons, grandchildren, siblings, the entire Broward Sheriff's Office Active and Retired family and a host of other family and friends.
