Maurice A
Golden
Mar 19, 1999 — Sep 2, 2024
On March 19, 1999, a precious baby boy was born to Maurice Golden and Felicia Williams. They named their king Maurice Antonio Golden Jr. and little did they know he would impact the lives of so many, including theirs. Maurice was the oldest of the three "Golden" Boys. He grew up in a loving, caring and structured environment where he was encouraged to soar. Maurice was affectionately known as "Wild Jack" to some, "Bucket" to most, but will forever be known as "That Baby," to his parents. Born and raised in Miami, Maurice was educated in the Miami-Dade County Public Schools System. He attended Lake Stevens Elementary, Phyllis Ruth Miller Elementary, and Lawton Chiles Middle School. He commenced his upper secondary education at American Senior High School but finished at Hialeah Senior High School in 2018 where he graduated a "T-Bred". As a youth, Maurice was a jack of all trades when it came to athletics. He participated in soccer, baseball, tennis, basketball, and football. He rotated throughout these sports until he found his niche which was football. He played football for various optimist teams in Miami-Dade County and Junior Varsity until his sophomore year of high school. Then one day he said to his mother, "Mom I don't want to sweat or run" and just like that - that was the day his football career ended. Maurice was also an active member of the youth department at Lighthouse Christian Faith Center where he participated in plays, performed Christian Rap, went on college tours and an array of other youth activities. Upon completing high school and one semester of college, Maurice realized that he wanted to explore other options as a career path. Therefore, he entered the workforce and was employed at a variety of companies including but not limited to, KB International Trading, US Logistics, Hard Rock Stadium, and Caterpillar. He aspired to pursue a career in HVAC, but his ultimate dream was to become a Platinum Music Artist. He took pride in his dreams and aspirations and believed that one day he would make all of his passions a reality. Maurice enjoyed listening to and making music, playing video games and spending time with family and friends. He especially enjoyed mentoring his younger siblings and took pride in his role as a big brother to them. He also shared a special bond with all of his first cousins. Family and friends could surely depend on Maurice for pointless, countless, and endless arguments at family gatherings. Though Maurice was not going down without a fight, he was generous, easygoing and laid back. You can rely on him for anything within reason and without "bounce back." Maurice will forever be remembered as a loving son, a devoted brother, a well-mannered nephew, a caring cousin, a loyal friend, and the best uncle ever. On September 2, 2024, Maurice Antonio Golden Jr. was called by the Heavenly Father who whispered, "Peace be still," he transitioned from this earthly realm to eternal life and gained his wings.
