Obituary

Robert Lee Smith Jr., was born in Donalsonville,Georgia in 1962, to Robert Lee Smith, Sr. and Bobbie Ann Williams. Robert was one of four children born to this union and he was the second oldest child.

As a baby, Robert and his family relocated to Miami, Florida where they made their home. Robert received his education through Miami-Dade County Public schools, to include attending Gladesview Elementary and Brownsville Middle School.

Life would take its toss and turns causing Robert to experience some of life's peaks and valleys; but 1993,  Robert earned the greatest title he would've ever earned - the title of Dad! The birth of his precious daughter, Sharetta was his greatest accomplishment. They shared a special bond and he held her close in his heart.

Later in life, Robert met and married Iris Robinson. After many years, they divorced and Robert found love again in Sharon Sweeting. The couple met and instantly became inseparable. Sharon and Robert were a great team. They enjoyed going out doing fun stuff together and looking forward to big plans in the future. Somewhere before meeting Sharon, Robert began to experience what God promises us in Philippians 1:6 that "....he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."  All of a sudden, life began to turn around for Robert. He was happy, he was loved, and he was successful.  He worked for some time in the cafeteria at Barry University and became the owner and operator of his own Lawn Service. Overall, in every aspect of his life, Robert had begun to flourish. He knew the power of God and prayer because he was a member of Next Level Faith Center.

Today, as we remember Robert,or "Bald Head", "Black" or "Bro" as he was affectionately called,  we remember a fun, loving, and reliable man who would stop at nothing to do for his family. We remember his contagious and loving smile; his care for the elderly in the neighborhood and how he loved family outings, especially barbecues. He loved to watch old school movies, wrestling, and listening to ole school music.  There's so many wonderful memories of our Robert, far too many to mention; but these memories will forever linger on in the hearts of those who loved him.

On July  26, 2024, Robert Lee Smith Jr departed this life.
