The Life and Legacy of Robert Burnay Williams
On April 1, 1954, God depicted his love by giving the world one of His gifts, in the birthing of Robert Burnay Williams. He was born in the city of brotherly love Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the proud parents of the late James Williams and Eloise Broomfield Williams.
Robert began his early educational journey in Pompano, Florida at Holmes Elementary, then attended Dorsey Junior High School and his secondary education at North Miami Beach Senior High School, later transferring Miami Central Senior Hight after completing 11th grade.
On May 12, 1972, Robert joined the United State Marine Corps, and later in life he completed his high school education. While in the military, Robert learned defense and loved to be part of boxing tournaments. He loved singing and dancing.
At an early age, Robert joined Alpha and Omega Church, where he was baptized. He later continued his Christian journey by joining Spirit of Christ Center and Ministries. He enjoyed ministering the Word of God to people throughout the Liberty City community.
Robert, also affectionately known as "Boone" was called to work at Jackson Memorial Hospital where he met Erma. In 1980, his first child, Summer, was born. Later, Robert met Marion Bowe at Jackson Memorial Hospital. The couple began courting until he wooed her into marriage on January 27, 1986. To this union, one daughter Robin, was born.
On March 21, 2024. Robert Burnay Williams departed this life. He was preceded in death by his parents James Williams and Eloise Broomfield Williams and granddaughter Gi'Anni Finnie. He leaves behind to cherish his legacy and forever be grateful for the memories, two daughters Summer and Robin; adopted children: Denise and Robert, grandchildren: Dream, Antonio, and Mason; siblings: Jeanette, Sharon, Winifred, Mark, Sonia, Moranel and Darnell; a special daughter Valisha; a special friend Daisy and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives, and sorrowing friends.
