REMEMBERING OUR BELOVED

Rosa Lee Jones, affectionately known as "BD", was born on November 20, 1927, in Burke County, Georgia to Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie and Emma Saxon Jones. To many, growing up with 10siblings may seem like a challenge, but to BD, it was the only life she knew and enjoyed all that came with being one of many. She was always surrounded by love and family and reared her own children in the same manner--to love each other no matter what.

Rosa Lee accepted the Lord Jesus Christ early in life while attending and later joining Noah's Ark Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Georgia , under the leadership of Reverend Martin Moody. After leaving Georgia and moving to Miami, Florida, Rosa Lee joined New Mt Calvary Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Ivory Wilcox, with her final membership being at Zion Hope Missionary Baptist under the tutelage of Reverend Paul Freeman. She faithfully served as a member of Choir #2 and continued her service until her health did not allow her to.

Rosa Lee retired from Smart Pak Industries after 30-plus years of employment and dedicated her years after retirement as a full-time grandma to her grandkids, teaching them valuable life lessons.

BD was the world's best mother to her 5 children. She never wavered in doing all that she could for her family. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and a listening ear over a pot on the stove with something delicious cooking with an inviting aroma filling her home. BD was most definitely known for her oxtails and collard greens with homemade cornbread ready to share with those who needed a hearty meal. Her heart was filled with so much love for everyone, and she never hesitated to share her love to all.

On the evening of March 22, 2025, God called Rosa Lee home from labor to reward. No more pain. No more suffering.
