Ruthie Elaine Reese was born on July 1, 1962, in Miami, Florida to the late Willie George and Oppie Lee Reese. She was the 11th of 12 children born to this union.

Ruthie received her education in the Miami-Dade County Public Schools, attending Dunbar Elementary, Ada Merritt Jr. High, Citrus Grove Middle, Booker T. Washington Jr. High, and Miami Jackson Senior High.

Ruthie had a way of putting a smile on any situation while teaching you a life lesson. She had her own special relationship with each of her relatives and a soft spot for her children. Ruthie loved to go fishing. Whenever anyone said "fishing" ... she was ready to go!

She was also a sitter for many of her nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews too. She had a hand in raising Tequila Miller, Latoya Pate and Delores Sejour, her first cousin's children.

Ruthie had a love for partying and being around her family, especially at family gatherings. She also had love for her daughter (God) Fanta Reese, who she called Granny. There are so many great memories of our beloved Ruthie, far too many to mention. These memories will forever linger in the hearts of those who loved her.

On February 9, 2025, Ruthie Elaine Reese departed this life
