Shirley Morgan received her wings January 30, 2024, although a surprise to many, not to her because she went home under the terms she had prayed for many times. She left peacefully and quietly in her sleep in her own bed.

Shirley was born October 28, 1952, in Tifton, Georgia, the first of six siblings and boss of them all.  Although she would remain 28 years old throughout the course of her lifetime and long after her siblings had passed the age of 28, it was an inside joke shared by all.

She would leave home shortly after high school to attend the University of Miami and then meet and marry Lawrence C. Morgan on November 24, 1970.  They would move to North Dakota, starting their family which consisted of their first-born daughter April L. Morgan and son Lawrence L. Morgan, 6 years later.

Shirley worked as an executive secretary and office manager for Office System of Florida which would later become Daniel's Moving and Storage, putting her keen sense of business and organization to work for over 30 years.

She frequently rode motorcycles with her husband and loved to travel planes, trains, and automobiles traveling was in her veins.

In addition to being a wife, mother, world traveler, and professional she dutiful served her church as both president and member of the United Methodist Women first at Grace United Methodist Church and most recently at Fulford United Methodist Church.

Shirley is survived by her children April L. Morgan and Lawrence L. Morgan; ex-husband Lawrence C. Morgan; siblings Catherine Mitchell, Eugene Mitchell (Annette), Edward L. Mitchell (Wileane), and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and sorrowing friends.
