Taressa C
Hall
May 5, 1973 — Apr 12, 2025
Dr. Taressa Hall was born on May 7, 1973, to Willie Joe Sr. and Lucille Cross in Miami, Florida. She was raised in a Christian background and a part of the House of Prayer church, under the leadership of Elder Robert C. Brown.
Dr. Hall was educated through the Miami Dade Public School System, graduating from Miami Norland Senior High School in 1991. She furthered her education through Miami Dade Community College and Florida A&M University, where she received her undergraduate and Master Degree in Psychology, Criminal Justice, and Education. Continuing her path of knowledge, Dr Hall earned a doctoral degree in Organizational Leadership and Conflict Resolution from Nova Southeastern Region.
Dr. Hall was an exceptional leader and educator! Her passion for helping children and adults learn and grow was second to none. She developed many specialized programs that used multi-modality techniques to enrich the learning process for special needs children, racial and ethnically diverse populations, and adult learners. Dr. Hall was instrumental in administrative leadership to increase attendance of after-school programs, obtain monies for classroom supplies for the students with disabilities, and increased parental involvement by 90%. She authored grants to obtain needed supplies and was successful in the "No Child Left Behind" Act, which increased academic achievement by 85%. Quite notable was her involvement in an afterschool program for Disruptive Students that increased school retention rate by 95%. Dr Hall believed anyone is capable of learning, and she was going to make sure of it – even if she had to create a method to do so!
Dr. Hall maintained her relationship with Christ. As an adult, she joined The Immanuel Temple Church under the leadership of Pastor John F. White, II and Reverend Maria Mallory White then later faithfully served under the new leadership of Pastor Justin D. Green. She served God in various capacities in the church, as she enjoyed serving God and others.
Dr. Hall achieved much in her professional life, but her greatest accomplishment was being the mother of three wonderful children: Da'Briaja, Dajuan, and Janessa. She adored her children and was proud of all they had become.
On April 12, 2025, Dr. Taressa Camille Hall's race was over, and she departed this life.
