Willie Frank Marshall Jr. "Shank" was the youngest and only son born to the proud parents of Willie Frank and Clyde Marshall on July 3, 1943, in Miami, Florida. They also had two daughters, Willie Benefield (Marvin) and Mary Ingram (Lewis).Shank married his High School sweetheart Bertha Parmer and a son William L. Marshall was born of this union. The Marshall family gave their life to God while attending the Liberty City Church of Christ under the Leaderships of Brother F. L. Thompson, Dr. Freeman T. Wyche, and Brother Eric W. Doss. Shank was known for his many dedications to Christ, especially his praying which were always clear, loud and down to earth.
His favorite scripture, Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me". The Marshall family are still faithful members of the Church of Christ. Shank worked at the Miami Herald for 25+ years as a Press Room Attendant. He enjoyed the retirement life travelling, spending time with family and friends while still dedicating himself to the Lord.Shank left this earth quietly in his sleep on May 30, 2024 for God's Heavenly Home.
