Willie James Pace, 83,

A loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 1, 2024, after an extended illness. Willie was born in Miami, Florida on August 21, 1940, to the late Annie Mae Matthews and Alonzie Pace.Upon graduating from high school, Willie enlisted in the United States Army for a stint as a private to serve his country. He was honorably discharged in October of 1957.After many years of dedicated hard work, as a Longshoreman, Willie retired from ILA, Port Miami, in July 2003.Willie was known for having a fun-loving spirit, good sense of humor and he was generous to a fault. He loved spending time with his family and was a big jokester, at times, with the unique ability of making everyone around him laugh. He especially loved kidding and playing around with his grand and great grandchildren whenever he could. Some of his favorite past-times were watching old movies and comedy sitcoms, Shane and Sanford and Son were amongst some of his favorites. He also enjoyed going to the casino and playing the slot machines with family and friends; and, not to mention, buying scratch-offs for the win!
