Willie Lee
Tmmons Jr.
Mar 23, 1952 — Feb 22, 2024
Willie Lee Timmons, Jr. was born on March 23, 1952, in Willacoochee, Georgia to Willie Lee Timmons, Jr., and Lucille Brook Timmons. He was the ninth of ten children born to this union. Willie, or Billie as he was affectionately known, grew up in Miami and was a product of Miami-Dade County Public Schools, including attending Miami Northwestern Senior High School. In 1971, Willie met and married the love of his life, Ms. Margery Ann Timmons. Together they were blessed with two beautiful children Sabrina and Tanika. They were extra excited by their granddaughter Brianna. Willie was proud of all three of "his girls," as he lovingly called them. Professionally, Willie worked in the sales industry. He was a great communicator and businessman with an entrepreneurial spirit. He was successful in his profession which allowed him to be a good provider to his family. He was a selfless man, because he was focused on providing, no matter the sacrifice. While Willie was not a member of a church, he loved the Lord and believed in the Word of God. He read his bible often and his favorite scripture was Romans 8:28, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose" ....words he believed and lived by daily. There are so many wonderful memories of Willie, such as his love of sweets and Kentucky Fried Chicken. Or how we enjoyed music, especially Al Green's "Lets Stay Together." He was a loving, caring, and giving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed. On February 22, 2024, Willie Lee Timmons, Jr. departed this life. He was preceded in death by his wife Margery Ann Timmons, his parents Willie lee Timmons, Sr., and Lucille Brook Timmons; siblings: Gladys Timmons Cole, James Smith, Faustine Holmes, Marchman Holmes, Jr., Mary Harrison, and Jesse Timmons. He leaves cherished memories to his daughters: Sabrina Hines (Dirk) and Tanika Merritt; granddaughter: Brianna Hines; siblings: Lucy Freeman, Barbara Holmes (Charles), and Jerry Timmons and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
